About K-Lo's K9's Dog Walking & Pet Care Service

My name is Kristina Lopez. I recently relocated back to the Chicago North Shore Suburbs area from Nashville, TN.

Prior to my year in Nashville, I started up K-Lo's K9's full time in Chicago between 2016 and 2018.  I created K-Lo's K9s Dog Walking in New York where I lived and worked for 12 years in Finance Technology.  K-Lo's K9s was the beginning after losing my job following 9/11. My passion for animals and the fact I have had dogs my entire life, lead me to starting up a part time dog walking and pet sitting business in - and around the neighborhood I lived at that time, in Bronx, NY.

Since then I continued my technology career. However, now I am once again pursuing my long-time passion for animals and move forward again with K-Lo's K9s Dog Walking & Pet Care Service in the North Shore Suburbs - Highland Park, IL and surrounding areas.

My experience with our furry four-legged friends has been life-long, having all types of breeds, temperaments and personalities.  I have had a number of dogs, kitties and two parrots over the course of my childhood into adulthood.

Over the course of 30 plus years, I've raised three very rambunctious Golden Retrievers, rescued an elderly Golden Retriever and two lab-shepherd & lab-pit bull mix breeds.  My understanding of rescues having behavioral or social issues is something I have experience with.

My volunteer experience includes, the SPCA - New Jersey, Liberty Humane Society - Jersey City, NJ and the Humane Society -Indianapolis, IN. Additionally, because of my own previous dog adoptions, I understand the adoption procedures and processes due to my experience with the Golden Retriever Rescue of New Jersey. It was through them I adopted my sweet elderly Golden Retriever I called Miss Gradie Bell.
